Compare records, planning and follow-up

This comparison concerns Guava Health at guavahealth.com: its personal health app and separate Provider Dashboard. The consumer app is not the same purchase as clinic access. Both products offer planning and monitoring tools; assess the workflow you need. [5][6][7]

Your clinic’s priorityHolistiCareGuava Health
Gathering patient information

Start with structured assessment. Questionnaires support scoring and trend review alongside clinic-defined thresholds. Confirm your instruments, inputs and setup. [3]

The personal app gathers portal records, uploaded documents, device data and patient logs. Provider access lets the clinic review this shared history. Availability depends on the source and permissions. [5][7]

Clinician planning

Connect the plan to delivery. Editable plans combine rationale, monitoring cadence and version history with patient tasks and progress markers. [1]

The Provider Dashboard offers custom health scores with prevention, monitoring and action items, plus configurable ranges. AI report templates can carry clinic branding; providers review patient-facing summaries. [7]

Longitudinal follow-up

Give follow-up a defined route. Configurable check-ins combine patient reports and device information with alerts and team routing. Agree who responds and when. [2]

Custom check-in prompts, reminders, trends, messaging and threshold alerts support between-visit monitoring. Guava also lets patients track information independently. [7]

Patient and team access

Coordinate clinic workflows. Clinic and Enterprise list multidisciplinary tasks and approval workflows; Clinic includes unlimited patient profiles. [4]

Provider plans include unlimited care team members and patient Premium. Access is permission-based; Manager access permits adding or editing records. Confirm the roles your team needs. [6][7]

Connections to existing records

Scope the data flow. File imports and Apple Health are listed across plans; custom connections are limited on Clinic and HL7/FHIR feeds sit under Enterprise. HolistiCare is not an EHR. [4]

Portal and device connections help assemble history. Guava’s US TEFCA service currently requests records; future bidirectional TEFCA sharing is not a released capability. Confirm your exact system and flow. [5][8]

Branding and implementation

Choose the clinic experience. Clinic includes partial branding and report templates; Enterprise adds full white labelling. Native apps and custom implementation are separately quoted. [4]

Self-serve provider setup is offered; Scale & Enterprise adds premium branding and workflow controls through annual volume commitments. Account setup does not establish complete data onboarding. [6][7]

Compare plans and capacity

Compare clinic subscriptions with clinic subscriptions. Guava’s personal Free and Premium plans serve a different buyer; their price does not represent a Provider Dashboard subscription.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

They overlap in monitoring and planning, but start from different workflows. Shortlist HolistiCare when you want clinician-edited plans connected to patient actions and team follow-up. Consider Guava when patient-owned history, portal records and ongoing tracking are central to the requirement. Guava’s provider offering also includes planning tools, so it should not be treated as only a record viewer. [1][2][6][7]

Using both may be practical if Guava gathers patient history while HolistiCare supports your clinic’s care workflow. That is a workflow option, not a verified integration. Decide how information would move and avoid duplicate tasks or conflicting plans.

Patients can use Guava independently and share access with providers. Its FAQ describes Manager access for clinics that need to add or edit information. Agree consent, staff permissions, access revocation and record corrections before onboarding. [5][7]

Do not assume consumer and clinic privacy arrangements are identical. Guava’s TEFCA notice distinguishes individual access services from work as a Business Associate for covered clinics; confirm the applicable agreement and responsibilities. [8]

Your team retains clinical decisions, verification of imported data, plan approval, response coverage and documentation in its system of record. Neither a record connection nor an alert proves clinical accuracy, complete information or safe autonomous care.

For a demo, use sample information to check source labels, dates, units, reference ranges, corrections, missed check-ins and staff handoffs. Confirm exact EHR read/write flows separately. HolistiCare provides decision support and does not replace your EHR.

HolistiCare Team and Clinic list a 7-day trial arranged with the team. Its annual base subscription is prepaid for 12 months; custom apps and implementation require separate scope. [4]

Guava offers a Provider Dashboard trial with three patients. Its FAQ says accounts can be set up in minutes, but connecting records, securing patient permissions and agreeing clinic workflows remain onboarding work. Confirm current trial conditions and conversion terms. [6][7]

The linked official pages advertise the described functions and packages as current offerings; this review did not test product accounts or integrations. Guava’s TEFCA notice explicitly puts bidirectional exchange in the future. No roadmap capability is counted as delivered here. [8]

Public descriptions do not establish extraction accuracy, diagnostic validity, autonomous triage safety or improved outcomes for either product. Confirm availability for your location, selected plan, exact source systems and clinical use before relying on the workflow.
